Alexandra Park School

Greeted by the school choir singing a rendition of the South African chant Asikhatali, Jacob Zuma spoke with APS students that have visited our partner school in South Africa, Ephes Mamkeli.

The South African President then spoke of his country's educational links with the UK, and how education is a priority for his government, before planting a tree in Durnsford Park, adjacent to the school, in memory of former assistant headteacher Mike Terry, who was executive secretary of the anti-apartheid movement in the UK.
